The phone stands at 106x60.5x17 and weighs about 147g. The phone features a nice candy bar form factor and fits in the palm without any inconvenience. The device light and well made to cope with regular usage. The rubberized coating on the device makes it easier to grip the phone and protects it from the regular wear and tear.
There are record keys on the left and the on/off and the camera shutter key on the right.
The screen on the phone is 2.8 inches capable of showing 480x640 pixels and can reproduce about 65000 colors. The display is bright enough in the sunlight and does a good job. The screen is a touch screen interface of resistive type which is excellent and feels responsive from the first tap. There is a handwriting recognition included and also accelerometer sensor for UI rotate with light sensor.
The memory onboard is a mere 30 MB but it comes with an expandable memory slot that could cater your need for more space. The performance on the phone is good and there are no lags seen around. The video playback is smooth and so is the Music quality.
The phone also supports GPS and Wi-Fi which are able to connect soon enough and have an impressive performance.
The camera on the phone is a 3.0 MP featuring auto-focus setup and is able to shoot some good striking images with decent quality. The interface on board is easy and does not take time to get to know all the features.
The highlight of the phone is the Dual SIM that makes the DX900 stand out from the rest. The ability to use two SIM card makes it a good option for people using two lines for their business and personal life. The display shows both the signal meters on the screen when the two SIMs are loaded up. The signal strength coming from both cards onboard is highly impressive and offer a good 3G connection too.
Overall the phone is a good versatile feature rich and loaded with specs on board. The main highlight has been the DUAL SIM option which is likely to appeal to most users who were waiting for such an option on the smart phone.
