Design and Looks
The F900 stands at 117.5x63.5x12.9 giving it a sleek and stylish design and weighs about 150g. The front of the phone is occupied by the large 3.8 inch touch screen and below it are the 4 touch sensitive buttons. The rear of the handset features the 3.2 MP auto focus camera with LED flash speaker and the battery compartment. The left spine contains the Mini USB port and the power switch whereas the right side contains the volume rocker, the camera shutter key and the Micro SD socket.
The screen on the phone is 3.8 inch display with a resolution of 480x800 pixels with capacity to show 65000 colors. The sunlight eligibility is average and needs to be at full brightness for good visibility outdoors.
The Today screen on the interface sports various widgets which can be easily tapped to to bring open the applications. The thumb and finger touch seem to work fine on the handset and offers a great performance. The Acer shell on board is user friendly and works like a charm.
The camera on the phone is 3.2 MP camera which comes along with a autofocus, flash and a great user friendly interface which is touch optimized and does not take time to figure out.
The phone offers GPS and works well on the phone. There is no 3.5 mm head phone socket on the phone and you have to use a miniUSB style connector onboard whose performance is quite poor. Users having 3.5 mm headsets may have to go in for a adapter.
The call quality on the phone is decent with no interference or any dropped calls. Reception is fine with good signal strength too.
The web browsing on the device is excellent with the 3.8 inch screen and the Opera Web Browser. The opera supports both landscape and the portrait modes and thus with the help of the sensors it changes its orientation automatically with a turn of the device.
Overall the phone stands out to appeal to everyone out there and gives a good value ofr money. The performance of the phone is the only drawback of the device as it becomes sluggish with multiple applications loaded up.
